Dear Friends & Family,
For those of you who may not know, about two and a half years ago I set out on an ambitious goal: to walk every block in Manhattan — all 630-ish miles! I’ve always had a deep passion for Manhattan. Like most New Yorkers, I grew up knowing the famous places — Central Park, Times Square, Greenwich Village, Wall Street — but that wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to truly know Manhattan in its entirety: neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street, on foot. Uptown, downtown, East Side, West Side — and everywhere in between.
In June 2023, I officially began the journey. It has been one of the most exciting and rewarding adventures of my life. In just a few months, I will complete my goal of walking every street in Manhattan, with the final five-ish miles taking place on Governors Island (yes, Governors Island is part of Manhattan).

To mark this milestone, we’re planning a celebratory weekend on April 18–19, and I truly hope you’ll join me.
Saturday, April 18 – 10:00 AM
We’ll meet in Central Park and explore up to eight miles of its most scenic sites, including the new Davis Center, the North Woods, the Conservatory Gardens and Bethesda Fountain. You’re welcome to walk as much or as little as you like. Fingers crossed the cherry blossoms will be in bloom! In the evening, we’re hoping to gather for dinner (pay-your-own-way).
Sunday, April 19 – 10:00 AM
We’ll meet on Governors Island to complete the final five miles of my walk together. You’ll need to take a short ferry ride to get there (not accessible by car, train or bus). Then we’ll celebrate somewhere wonderful!

Walk With Marilyn
Meet Marilyn Menick, our enthusiastic EverWalk Ambassador! She's a dedicated walker and a certified fitness instructor with a passion for helping older adults. Marilyn is a founding member of the Walking Warriors Battling Breast Cancer Team and for the past 15 years has fundraised for breast cancer research in honor of her close friend, Betty, a survivor. Marilyn also completed a daring 70 miles of the Camino de Santiago in Spain last year!
At the incredible age of 75, Marilyn embarked on a thrilling adventure to walk every single street in Manhattan! Two and a half years into her inspiring journey, we’re excited to join Marilyn and walk up to 13 miles with her over 2 fun-filled days on April 18th & 19th, 2026! 1. Up to eight mile walk in Central Park at 10am broken into 3 segments (North, Midpark and South). Walk as little or as much as you like. Pay your own way lunch break and bathroom stop included after segment 2.

2. Pay your own way dinner around 7pm. Make your own reservations. More information coming soon.

2. Victory Lunch! Time and location is TBD. We'll send out the location (most likely on Governor's Island or lower Manhattan) and once confirmed you can make your own reservations.
